Environmental Policy

Interplastic Corporation shall manufacture products that fulfill the requirements of their customers, always taking in consideration the following policy.

  1. Commitment to the prevention of pollution and the reduction of the consumption of resources such as fuel and energy, through policies and programs established within the corporation.
  2. Commitment to comply with the applicable legal environmental requirements and with other environmental requirements to which the organization subscribes and which relates to the organizations environmental aspects.
  3. Commitment to the minimization of any significant adverse environmental impacts stemming from the handling of raw materials, processing, storage, preservation and delivery of its products.
  4. Commitment to the reduction of waste by way of recovery and recycling.
  5. Commitment to the reviewing of the environmental policy for suitability and continual improvements.

Interplastic Corporation manufacturing is ISO 14001 registered.
ISO 14001 is a global standard for environmental management systems. It requires the establishment of a system to help organizations take a more pro-active approach to managing environmental issues. The standard monitors actions that impact the environment and document programs that include the training of employees on regulations and work practices to minimize the potential for an environmental incident. As with ISO 9001, companies certified under ISO 14001 are subject to an outside audit on a regular frequency to ensure the continuing compliance with the requirements of the standard.
