Price Increase for CoREZYN® and Silmar® Brand Products

(St. Paul, MN – May 9th, 2022) Interplastic Corporation announced today that it will raise the price of both Silmar and CoREZYN brand polyester resins, gel coats, bonding compounds, colorants and standard vinyl ester resins up to $0.10 per pound. Fire retardant and Novalac vinyl ester resins will increase up to $0.30 per pound. This increase will take effect for all shipments on or after June 4th, 2022.
Raw materials continue to increase and are in very tight supply, as demand remains high. Some key components are short due to plant outages and turnarounds. Energy has risen sharply causing additional cost pressure on manufacturing facilities and freight. Interplastic continues to work with suppliers to make sure we are able to maintain a consistent supply of products.
