(St. Paul, MN – March 4th, 2021) Interplastic Corporation announced today that it will raise the price of CoREZYN brand vinyl ester resins, gel coats, bonding compounds and colorants by $0.25 per pound and both Silmar and CoREZYN brand polyester resins by $0.16 per pound. This increase will take effect for all shipments on or after March 20th, 2021.
Costs of all critical raw materials continue to increase during the first quarter of 2021, after winter storm Uri. The unprecedented supply disruption along with strong demand has impacted, NPG, Propylene Glycol, Maleic, Phthalic Anhydride, Isophthalic and Terephthalic Acid, as well as Styrene, DCPD and Epoxy. Freight costs and steel drum/tote costs have also been impacted. Interplastic is working with raw material suppliers in order to ensure continued timely and uninterrupted delivery of all materials.
