(St. Paul, MN – March 24th, 2021) Interplastic Corporation announced today that it will raise the price of both Silmar and CoREZYN brand polyester resins by $0.07 per pound, CoREZYN brand vinyl ester resins by $0.14 per pound and gel coats, bonding compounds and colorants by $0.10 per pound. This increase will take effect for all shipments on or after April 10th, 2021.
Costs of all critical raw materials are continuing to escalate into the second quarter of 2021. The lingering effect of winter storm Uri has caused unprecedented supply disruption. This along with strong demand has impacted, NPG, Propylene Glycol, Maleic, Phthalic Anhydride, and Isophthalic Acid, as well as Styrene, DCPD and Epoxy. Freight costs and steel drum/tote costs also continue to be impacted. Interplastic is working with raw material suppliers in order to ensure continued timely and uninterrupted delivery of all materials.
